The gifts keep on coming. Another package, compliments of my friend Fareez at Canad Inn, Polo Park – a night’s stay in the Executive Fireplace Suite at the hotel. But wait.
He gave us two rooms, threw in two bottles of wine, a cheese and fruit platter, soft drinks, cookies, tea/coffee, seafood dinner for 4 and a full breakfast. I was so stuffed from dinner that I could not eat another bite.
And for sure I didn’t think he could do more but at 10:00pm, he called up to the room to ask if we wanted to have pizza delivered. I had to spend some time insisting that I could not swallow another morsel. The man is unbelievably generous.
For the first time in their young lives, Hana and Breen spent a night on their own in a hotel room (well we were across the hall in the Executive suite).
